Review: It's once again time to wade into the unknown here as False Persona unveils five absolute sub-busters, courtesy of the ever-expansive Typeless imprint. We begin with a wicked link up as Le3 BLACK provides a powerful vocal display on the metallic slams of 'Minimal Stares', with both the explosive acidic bass jitters of 'Exhale' and post-apocalyptic rave-ready drum slams of 'Damage Control' then following in hot pursuit. Finally, we then explore a pair of serious weapons as the carnival-inspired drum stutters and chop-ready rhythmic breaks of 'Piped Up' see SAAH join the party for a quick feature, with the system-busting snare exploits of 'Vexed' then closing off the EP with a violent landing. Awesome work!

Review: Jordon Saxton aka Viers follows recent Eps on high-profile labels like Turbo and Figure with this high-octane, energetic release that takes influence from a myriad of sources. "EVA00" is a frenetic electro roller led by glitchy, IDM percussion and a pulsating bass, with these elements providing the backing for dreamy synth lines. On "Douglas Descend", similar stop-start glitchy percussion provides the backing for wailing vocal samples and a steely, stepping rhythm, while "Innocence" is more stripped back, with jagged synths and a menacing, recoiling bass at its core. Changing tact for 'LSD', Saxton drops a visceral warehouse techno banger.

Review: New producer Aloka inaugurates Typeless Records here with these fierce and futuristic perspectives on the electro sound. From the sci-fi bass of "Concave" to the darkly dystopian "Convex" which is reminiscent of UK greats such as Radioactive Man, Bassjunkie or Dexorcist. After generating a buzz online via Soundcloud and his music being used by Louis Vuitton for fashion shows recently, this is only the beginning for the ascendant Welsh producer. Look out for more by this guy in 2019.
