Review: Next up from Unchained Recordings, a very welcome visit from Zed Bias who delivers a very futuristic selection of half-time & drum and bass originals. We begin our look at this one with 'Beijing', a very exciting collaboration with the legendary Strategy in which Bias lays down a grizzly underbelly of scattered drum textures and gnarly subs, giving the perfect backdrop from Strategy to do what he does best. Next up, the calming atmospherics and distant whistles of 'Just Before Dawn' slow the pace slightly alongside G Force, before 'Doenca Tropical' gives us a much more unique sense of percussive design, looking at pinging individual drum hits and a spacious backdrop. Finally, we stray into a more footwork inspired world as 'In The Morning' unleashes a scintillating display of subby mastery, with catchy vocal slices to top it off and round this selection off in style.

Review: At JunoDownload we love an unprecedented dive into the unknown, which is exactly what we find ourselves beholding as Unchained Recordings bring forward this fantastic new three track selection from Corrupted. We begin this one with the unpredictable vocal slicings and stuttered drum manoeuvres of 'Dead End', a truly wonderful piece of organic sound design and composition. It gets even weirder as we then stroll into the well sampled vocal excerpts of 'Digital Grimoire', which also stuns the listener with it's authentic Asian-inspired bridges. To finish off, HAST gets busy with an official recreation of 'Dead End', stripping the original back into a more chopped and screwed design.
