Review: Next up on their wonderful Undagrnd Freqz imprint, we see the dreamy duo of Matt Jam Lamont and Echelon join forces with Sarah Etheridge to deliver a seriously spicy number, this time taking the title 'Keep Me Comin' Back'. Everything about this one bleeds original garage flavour, from the super catchy vocal chops to the high energy drum bounces and back to those sneaky chord progressions which pop out of nowhere to blast you back a few years. Alongside the original version, we are also treated to the full instrumental mix alongside a more radio-centric edit, giving us a beautiful package to enjoy. This is definitely a number for the number.

Review: It's always a fun thing to get Matt Jam Lamont and Scott Diaz back in action via their Undagrnd Freqz imprint, especially when they are then joined by both the legendary Todd Edwards and the insatiable vocals of Smasher. This dream link up yields an absolute gem as 'Waiting' is unveiled, fusing bubbling organ chord lines with typically skippy drum stutters for a stunning background. When the female vox is then layered across the top, Smasher arrives with an absolute thumper of a performance, packed with inspiring party-starting lyricism and smooth vocal melodies to match. This release also comes complete with a full shortened edit and the standalone instrumental for good measure!

Review: The Undagrnd Freqz team have been on absolute fire over the last few months, unleashing banger after banger from the infamous duo of Matt Jam Lamont and Echelon. The spicy showcasing continues with this fabulous blast from the past in 'Can't See You'. The vocal mix is our first port of call, which takes a typically smooth vocal and slices it up to high heaven, resulting in a super groovy display of UKG mastery between the minimal melodic stutters and pulsating subs below. We also take in the 'Dub' mix version, which allows us to explore a much more stripped back creation, focussing on unpredictable drum stabs and a much darker set of textures. Awesome work.

Review: Since launching the Undagrnd Freqz label imprint, the famous duo of Matt Jam Lamont and Echelon have been on absolute fire. This latest offering sees them unveil the second edition of their 'New Heroes' series, welcoming four fantastic production talents inside for a selection of spicy collaborations. We begin with Soulecta's involvement by the name of 'Need A Friend', a tremendous exploration into old school garage flavour with some jittering drum action and groovy chord maneuvers for good measure. Next, 'Massive & Crew' sees TuffCulture arrive with a more more unusual input, focussing on unusual bass grooves and unique rhythmic switches, before Fraktion joins the party for the blissful vocal slices and sweeping atmospherics of 'Surrender'. Finally, Frankly throws us right back into the heart of old school garage as 'N.S.T' delivers a wicked combination of saxophone melodies and tidy vocal samples to bring the house down.

Review: It's always an enjoyable experience to see labels expanding further into their potential, which is exactly what Matt Jamm Lamont and Echelon's 'Undagrnd Freqz' is up to here with this fabulous three track thrill ride from Artifact entitled 'From Russia With Dubs'. We kick off our journey with the super groovy vocal chops and colourful drum skips of 'Won't Cry', which conjures up memories of JME's 'Tropical' instrumental album with it's unique pitching and bass tonality. The chunky kick punches of 'Touch Me' then follow with some proper nostalgic feelings, again manipulating a cool vocal line at every available opportunity, before 'Home Alone' moves in for a fantastic outro, switching up the rhythms into a more 2-step style shakedown.

Review: Since joining forces to form the now formidable Undagrnd Freqz imprint, Matt Jam Lamont & Echelon have been on absolute fire with the music they are releasing. This brand new two tracker is another great example of that enthusiasm for new garage music in action, kicking off with the wonderful 'So Good'. Following on from a stripped back introduction we are then gifted groovy chord progressions and shimmering vocal slices to really give us that throwback feeling. On the flip, 'Don't Be' takes us down a similar but slightly darker route path, this time pushing those vocal slices even further to round off with tasty two tracker with a bang!

Review: The garage duo we all love to see are back at it again with this fabulous new single entitled 'Something Real', which sees Matt Jam Lamont & Echelon link up once again on their now home imprint of 'Undagrndz Freqz'. The single comes with two alternate mixes, the original version of which is punchy as ever. Through a tidy combination of mature vocal slices and sharp drum punches, we can clearly hear that it's a sunshine roller for the BBQ season. On the flipside, the 'Darker' dub mix of the track takes us down a much moodier route, as moogy bass pulses lead the way alongside a much more stripped back set of drum sounds to round us out in style! It's garage in its most lively form!

This one is yet another perfect blend of the old and new as nostalgic chord flutters and old school vocal slicing give some immediate depth, alongside a super clean mixdown and unpredictable horn stabs for good measure. This one also comes complete with a fabulous TuffCulture remix, adding a whole new dimension to this fabulous new single!

Review: Since launching the Unagrnd Freqz imprint towards the start of the year, Matt Jam Lamont and Echelon have been on an absolute killing spree, with this band new single alongside Loa giving us a perfect example of the consistency they have been delivering with. This one takes the title 'Games' and is an instant club-ready hit, as Loa's catchy, classic sounding original vocals deliver a real sense of nostalgia atop Lamont & Echelon's well designed garage instrumental, stuffed full of sparky keyboard riffs and potent sub energy. This one also comes complete with a spicy dub mix and a radio-designated edit for good measure.

Review: Following on from a very impactful debut release, the Undagrnd Freqz team of Matt Jam Lamont and Echelon are back at it again with two more summer-ready grooves. We begin with the nostalgic sample slicing and pulsating rhythmic designs of 'Freqz Groove', which conjures up images of early garage parties with it's sliding basslines and syncopated melodic inputs. On the flip, 'Wrapped Up' deploys more fabulous vocal manipulation with catchy string plucks to add a fantastic level of variation between this and the title track, making the pair a very interesting matchup indeed. Fabulous stuff from start to finish!

Review: We really hope everyone out there is enjoying this new wave of UKG as much as we are here at Juno Download. The sunshine flavours are extremely prominent at the moment, especially within this wonderful new release from Matt Jam Lamont and Echelon, who deliver a fabulous four track selection to the newly launched Undagrnd Freqz imprint. With these two featuring on every track, we are also given four guest features, the first of which comes from Aki on the incredibly vibrant sub rolls and vocal slices of 'Every Step'. This is followed by the wonderful Shosh getting involved on the more mellow moogy bass rolls of 'Let U Know' before Yemi arrives with a bag of melodic punch with his inputs to 'Treat Ting Me'. Finally, the ever-ready Smokey Bubblin' B arrives with a typically colourful sack of energy, providing the perfect touches to round us off in style!
