Higher State Impressions (Continous DJ mix) - (47:58) 124 BPM
Review: Talented Greek artist Steve Mill arrives with his debut album for Urban Torque, entitled Higher State Impressions. Mill has come a long way since his debut release on UT (2007's Bright Side EP), appearing on the likes of Global Underground and Plastic City in the following four years. As albums go, it's excellent: an effortless blend of deep house, techno and prog, with a continuous DJ mix of the album's tracks included to boot!
Colourful Loving (feat James Kakande - original mix) - (7:18) 116 BPM
Colourful Loving (feat James Kakande - Daniel Solar & Andi De Luxe remix) - (7:20) 115 BPM
Soul Remote (feat K4) - (6:28) 120 BPM
Review: Production team Autodeep have already notched up releases on Disko, Peppermint Jam, Kina and now Urban Torque, with this deep and soulful house nugget featuring James Kakande on vocals. Dubby edges and old-school drum sounds combine to give this a boogie-meets-nu-jazz vibe - something that is accentuated nicely by Daniel Solar & Andi De Luxe on their long and languid rerub, which draws on a two note Hammond organ sequence to really give it a thrillingly deep and intense feel.
