Review: Having been riding at the top of the trance scene for many years, Paul Webster continues to get behind the emerging talent, proven with his Vibrate Sounds label. For the latest, it is yet more freshness from the upcoming and hotly tipped Sy Gardner, and with 'Distant Memories' he goes all out uplifting, that will no doubt smash the big rooms across the globe. The melodies are instantly feel good and intoxicating and the energy never lets up. There are three solid mixes to choose from, with our ears pricking up slightly more to the Dave Nadz & LeBlanc cut which has just a touch more elegance about it. Another fine release from Websters proteges.
Review: It has become tougher than ever for the smaller independent labels to stand out in a world dominated by a handful of elite label groups, That said, the way to make yourself heard is of course to stick to quality. Vibrate Sounds is a label who have done just that, uncovering golden gems from some of the freshest talent around. Raneem steps up for their latest and it's an out an out peak time smash in the form of 'Airglow'. Blistering melodies pierce through the mix here while the rounded bass and thumping percussion give it plenty of drive. We are a sucked for that nostalgic touch, so for us the Oldskool mix triumphs.
