Review: Whenever we see the killer combo of both Wang Records and DJ Jackum, we know for a fact that we are in for a treat, as these two-powerhouse outfits link up for this latest rave-ready two tracker. We open up with the slick-moving LFO manoeuvres of 'Dancing All Night', a smartly produced slice between oldschool organ melodies and more futuristic bass design, glued together by nostalgic disco stabs for a truly unique effort. On the flip, more old school garage goodness as 'Tell Me', focusses in on emotive vocal licks and pleasing melodic drifts, giving us a more mellow flip and rounding of proceedings nicely.
Review: You can always trust the Wang Records team to keep the UK supplied with vibrant new school garage flavour, with their latest offering coming to us from the refreshing sounds of Warwick. We begin our exploration with 'Again', a charming fusion of old school breaks sampling and spacious atmospheric pressure, wrapped up in a bulbous bassline to match. From here, 'Only You' dives down the more classic organ-garage route, with euphoria-inducing melodies running wild before 'Full Circle' gives us a more unorthodox slink through widened synthesiser textures. We then close on 'Pipe Dream', which utilises squelching bass pressure and subtle breaksy overlays to round off the EP with some serious style.
