Review: It's always a high energy affair when the Wub Club crew come to town, a theme they amplify even further with this lively five track project from the ever-ready Dr Oscillator. Right from the jump, the high intensity hardcore organs and mechanical bass rotations of 'Cuckoo' give us a thumping introduction, before the wonky LFO's of 'Body Schmoovin' and typically niche-influenced 4x4 drips 'Hunting Wabbits' continue to up the energy levels. From here, the old school bassline vibes continue to run strong as 'Haunter' again ups the levels with more crazy uses of LFOs and horn stabs, before closing the EP out with the more subby flexes of 'Rock The House', calming things down for the final run out!

Review: Exploring new music from The Wub Club is always a part of the week we look forward to, with this colourful new display of niche bassline goodness being a real godsend from More Fool U & JOJO. First up, the luscious synthesizer swings and intense 4x4 flavours of 'Realness' kick us off with some throwback sonic designs, before Katie Bosworth joins the party for a standout vocal atop the carnival-starting LFO squelches of 'Not My Boy'. There is a real feeling of fun woven throughout this whole project, with 'Beggin' utilizing more vocal chops and a high-octane set of drum rhythms to ignite the dance once more, before rounding the project off with the scale-riding LFO's and whippet warbles of 'Crowd Hype'. It's jam-packed with rave-ready energy to say the least!

Review: As soon as we saw that Wub Club had one final treat in the locker to round off 2021, we knew we were going to be in for a treat. Kitson is the provider of that treat as we embrace four tracks of digital delight, with 'Substance' providing a groovy introduction, doused in experimental vocal processing and uniquely quirky rhythmic displays for a killer title track. Next, the glitchy synthetic pops and shivering twisting drum arrangements of 'Mama' again up the energy levels before 'Sorry' gives us a pace-quickening dive into niche vocal sampling and icy sliding synthesizers. Finally, we step into an old school blowout as 'Be The One' lets loose a barrage of warbling LFO drives and unpredictable melodic jitters, rounding off the project in style!

Review: Since their inception as a label entity, The Wub Club have been incredibly impressive in their maneuvers, constantly dropping exciting new bass, garage, grime and drum and bass originals with a seriously colourful feel. This latest collection is special as they unveil the first edition of their new 'Wub Club World' compilation series. The artist roster involved is pretty staggering, with the likes of Mikey B, Jack Junior, Deadbeat UK, Dr Oscillator, Event Horizon and a bag more more all getting involved, plus a highly anticipated appearance from label-owner Forca alongside the legendary Phatworld, This project captivates everything the label represents on a grand scale, that being energetic, original underground dance music, a wide range of styles and a top quality showcasing of artists from around the world. The whole project screams quality, but if we were to pick our highlights, we would have to include the outstanding melodic and vocal arrangements of Hans Glader's beautiful 'Autumn' original, next to the high energy drum and bass flavours and catchy synthetic energies of 'Say That Ur Ready' from Mr Dubz. If you are looking for a complete look into underground dance music in the UK, look no further.

Review: We are rapidly running out of superlatives to describe our admiration for The Wub Club imprint, who continue to explore the very best of UK bass and garage music within their exceptional catalogue. This latest drop sees them welcome back the inspirational sounds of Badger, who kicks us off with the ruckus-inducing synth grinds and spicy drum twists of 'Mudblood', a valid title track which is set to cause some real damage in the dances. Next, a throwback to Zinc's 'Crackhouse' era as 'Evils' delivers a combination of bulbous bass bounces and alarm-like synth pulses to amp up any dancefloor, before rounding off with the funky-induced rhythms and fuzzy synthesizer slides of 'Cold Colours'. Badger has done it again!

Review: With the dancefloors reopening around the country and ravers returning to their natural habitats, it's safe to say that the top labels are rapidly adapting to the switch up, including the likes of The Wub Club who here unleash five tracks of dancefloor-ready dynamite from More Fool U. We begin with 'Crying', sampling a pleasing vocal line and delivering a lively, uplifting arrangement of jittering chords and spicy drum slices, followed by the more potent LFO structures of 'Breathe' alongside Wheeto and the super wonky bass designs of 'Shadows'. The energy levels only increase as we proceed, with 'Troubles' applying some classic niche-style LFO manipulation, warbling all over the place with more catchy vocal work providing some additional juice. Finally, 'U Tonight' sees Katie Bosworth deliver an outstanding lead vocal atop more jittering bassline action to see the EP out in style, once again solidifying The Wub Club's strong position within the bass scene as a whole.

Review: If we are being honest, Bailey P and The Wub Club linking up is a match made in heaven, with both entities being proud showcases of a wide range of underground electronic styles. The title-track sets a good precedent for how the EP is going to run, as niche-inspired warbling bass wobbles play the central role in between choppy drum designs. Next, we explore the more old-school side of Bailey P's character with the nostalgic piano twists and groovy vocal slices of 'Without You', before More Fool U joins the party for a much sillier display within the ludicrously fun synth design of 'Cigarette Smoke'. Finally, 'Viewers Discretion' gives us a metallic synthy slap to draw the EP to a close, once again showcasing just how consistent The Wub Club have been!

Review: Despite the lockdown causing as much havoc as it has done for live events, The Wub Club have focussed their energies fully into their now very exciting release catalogue, which has been added to once again with this killer four track delight from The Illustration. We begin with the groovy syncopations and moody bass drones of 'Don't Worry' which kick us off with a sub-rumbling start, before the faster paced drum slaps and subtle LFO expressions of 'Everything' up the tempo significantly. We take it old school next as the unpredictable rhythmic chops and tidy vocal distortions of 'Already Know' unleash some killer dancefloor favour, before rounding off with 'Want From Me', a post-bassline wonk-out, featuring additional work from More Fool U and giving the EP a fantastic finale bounce.

Review: As always with The Wub Club, Forca has gone out of his way to unleash some beautiful garage originality for us, inviting the super-potent sounds of Hans Glader in for some international gloss across three spicy originals. We begin with 'You Can Dance', which takes a couple of tidy vocal samples and Georgie's wicked inputs to create another groovy roller for the Glader catalogue. Next, the shimmering drum skips and high ended percussive plucks of 'Mad 4 U' ups the tempo of the project with some groovy maneuvers, followed by the stunning soundscaping and general musicality of 'Olvidado' which breathes a final blow of life into an already awesome drop!

Review: Stationed out of Sheffield, Wub Club, welcomes a fresh-faced Yozhi to its label with this Bumpa three-track! Taking in a heavily glitched and sample stricken collaboration with Burt Cope via "Unknown Numba" - touching on a sweet UKG groove - "Nosebone" sees its synths sucked-up through a heavy sidechained that's punctuated by the odd piano stab. Most expletive overall though is "Bumpa", a track that does the label's name proud with its use of dub, garage rhythms, vocals, and you guessed it: wub wub.

Review: Now this most certainly is a treat, as Forca's ever-ready Wub Club imprint kick off 2021 right at its beginning with this powerful new two track display from Brightonian bass-veteran: Pavv. We commence with '4U', a smooth combination of nostalgic organ flicks and colourful bass twists, giving it that perfect blend of old and new you that we are always so keen to hear in modern garage creations. On the flip, 'Rainbow Road' unleashes some serious throwback bassline energy, with some cartoonish vocal slices and powerful drum production beefing this one into the perfect B-side.

Review: Since its inception, Forca's Wub Club imprint has been churning out banger after banger from a range of different names. Today we take in a new four track delight from one of the lesser known members of the roster as More Fool U arrives to unleash some nichey goodness, kicking off with the super wobbly bass synthesizers and polished drum skips of 'Slow It Down' alongside KB. From here we then move into the even more high energy shackout of 'The Feeling', followed by 'For U Baby', a wonky combination of circus chord-lines and unpredictable LFO expressionism, perfect for injecting a dash of energy into any tracklisting. Finally, 'Drives Me Crazy' provides us with the perfect climax, linking up catchy vocal samples with yet more classic niche-bassline sounds. We just can't get enough!
