Review: Wittyboy is a beast. An uncompromising bass fiend if ever there was one. Here he does it again causing real mayhem with the fierce, lean 4 x 3 bass sizzler "Bring The House Down". Elsewhere techy-wobble vibes go off on the sleazy "Like Us" and "Realise" is a bonkers helium-fuelled UKG bouncer. Lastly "Ready 4 Dis" is an all-out assault of pounding skips, laser-bass and dizzying build-ups. Glorious chaos!

Review: The YosH imprint clearly likes to partake in a bit of UK bass experimentation, and its selection of artists have all been handpicked for their ability to slot into the label's catalogue with utter ease. This is Tyrone, a multi-talented electronic producer who is as good at making garage as he is disco or techno, and "Ravin Face" is direct evidence of an artist who understands UK bass music through and through; there is everything from dubstep to house in its groove, and the tune's inimitable vocal hook will have you humming in no time. "Reload", on the other hand, is more of a classic garage lick except for its deadly succession of bass knives circling the groove with a touch of evil will. This is some straight-up nasty material. Bang.

Review: Tengu are a House/Garage and Bass Music Duo from Worthing/Brighton Kenny Mckay and Chris Merison. House and bass music merge to dramatic effect much like Mele can on "Murda Murda" featuring the on-point rhyming of Dread MC, while LST joins the duo on "Mad For The Tune" which gets some serious wonk and wobble on with this right party starter. Finally, "Objection" gets some grime influence into the mix to dirty street level effect: beware!

Review: It's been almost a year since K1R3Y's debut on the YosH imprint, but it sounds like the artist has picked top a few tricks between then and now. "9T6" is a monster of a tune, all proper UKG vibes from start to finish, with Aaron Soul boasting one of the most addictive vocal chorus' to hit our charts since Oxide & Neutrino were puttin' their middle fingers up! Soul's vocals are stripped-back on the fiery drum groove of "9TFooR", while "9T9" digs back to the classic dub house approach that reminds us of peeps like Mood II Swing at their finest; the Turn Up Tempo edit filters the hell out of the main melody before unleashing some killer bass on the rhythm. The Carnival edit of "El Negro" closes this fine EP with a more balanced, dancefloor-ready manoeuvre. What a lil' tip this is!

Review: Foor are sick. There's three words. Foor know soul. There's another three words. In fact there are so many possible three word combinations you could create about Foor that scientists reckon you would be here until 2039 if you wrote them. We haven't got that type of time though so we'll just say these three words: this record bangs. Review: Paul Woolford's second album under the Special Request alias is a very different beast to its predecessor, 2013's Soul Music. While that was little less than a strobe-fired romp through Woolford's early, rave-era influences, Belief System is an altogether more complex and considered affair. With 23 tracks, the album took three years to produce, contains a number of modular hardware explorations, and features elements of tracks recorded by Woolford as far back as 1993. The sheer breadth and depth of the material is, at times, staggering, as the veteran Leeds producer giddily mixes and matches elements of electro, techno, cinematic soundtracks, hardcore, acid, jungle and experimental electronica. In a word: stunning.

Review: Bass seems to be in Tyrone's blood, with his elder brother 'Dennis G' featuring on the Wide Boys garage classic 'Sambuca'. Southampton imprint YosH picked up Tyrone while he was touring clubs with the original of 'Ravin' Face' down South and they clearly like it because we've ended up with an EP with six remixes of it! Moving through the motions of UKG and bassline with a bouncy happy edit from Shapes into a darker realm from Tengu. Mofaux comes with a steppy house version, but one thing they all have in common is they all, rather repetitively, ask us to show them our Ravin Face.

Review: After the success of his debut release 'Ravin Face' It was only a matter of time before Tyrone joined up with Southampton's own 'YosH' for a follow up release. That he does wit this new EP in collaboration with Kier. This release features two original creations, the first of which is a straight bassline roller entitled 'Tell Em Again'. The second track is a more crack house inspired instrumental, again featuring vibrant dancefloor inspired vocals from both Tyrone and Kier. It's no secret that there is a distinct lack of MC's in a bassline scene crowded with thousands of keen new producers, so this is certainly a positive step as a release.

Review: As summer rapidly approaches, the eyes and ears of the UK start to gesture towards a more laid back, UKG set of vibes. For this one Eddie Craig and FooR team up for a garage-breakbeat fusion by the name of 'Premonition'. It has all the makings of an instant classic, from the the emotive chord patterns and crunchy drum arrangements to the encapsulating lead vocal performance. Review: Spectrum is most certainly what you'd call a 'nomad'. The producer has now racked up releases left, right and centre, with absolutely no signs of slowing down or dipping in energy. Most importantly, his music is a hybrid form of just about every noticeable rave style in the UK, with the lead track for this new EP, "Timebomb", smashing out a heavy house percussion amid hardcore sirens and a whole load of atmospheric euphoria. "Six Million Ways" provides a similar array of misanthropic sounds, except the bass kicks through like a dubplate from the legendary FWD days. Big and BAD!!!

Review: As a label, Yosh has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, bringing together some of the bass scenes most exciting artists on both compilations and single releases. Here they team up with the wise owls of Tengu to put together a powerhouse tracklisting, bringing in a host of new faces such as KXVU, Movement, Pavv, J69 and. R3DX, as well as bringing back some of their favourite regulars. For us the stand outs have to include Kyle Riot's emotive bass belter in 'Through My Eyes' which combines electronically processed vocal stabs with shimmering bass textures. Another highlight would have to be Mofaux's 'Soldier' composition, which combines skippy drum rhythms with a grinding LFO and more catchy vocal stabs. Excellent stuff.

Review: What a year it has been for FooR, who are set to blow the world of British bass music into the stratosphere here as they unveil their monumental 'FooR Years' project, jam packed with goodies from start to finish. We kick off this one with the euphoric piano melodies and and violent bass throws of 'Take It Higher', before wading into the dark, mystic basslines and nostalgic vocal layers of 'In My Soul'. Next, we explore 'Over & Over', an incredibly vibey roller alongside Gid Sedgwick, before rounding up with the electroshocker synth leads and drum punch combos of 'I Will Wait'. There really appears to be no slowing the FooR rampage any time soon.
