Review: Bam! No word, no warning, no hype, no histrionics; just king DRS casually dropped a new album sized mixtape full of brand new originals with artists such as Dogger, Sl8r, Chiccoreli, Zar, Disrupta and Mindstate (to name a few) Loaded with interesting skits and interludes, along with a full mix version, this is DRS at his most wide armed, soulful and vibrant. Juiced up with plenty of fodder for the soulful DJs to spin, but sculpted as a musical experience, this is an amazing deep dive into the deepest corners of Delrokski's soul.

Review: Polish talent Satl returns to Lenzman's label The North Quarter with his most accomplished and wide-armed bodies of work so far. Taking us on a trip through his influences and widescreen musical vision, the album stretches from full-on technoid D&B ('Hard Times') to bubbling, twisted funk ('Werk It') via smouldering, unclassifiable dark soul ('Ride Or Die') and dreamy breakbeats ('Standing By') With many other sides to his sound revealed throughout, this is an exceptional and very impressive album.

Review: Just when you thought the remixes on 'The Resonance 1' couldn't get any bigger, along comes the second part of this Noisia-flipping series with even more staggering remix combinations. Mat Zo giving 'Cleansing' a twisted 23rd century G-funk polish, Skeppy bringing the dinosaurs back to life with his almighty percussive flip of the the famous 'Diplodocus', pioneering Virus architect Matrix turning 'Sinkhole' into a grizzled and bruised late 90s roller, Audio hammering the heck out of 'Sunhammer'... The list of this headliner remix b2b goes on and on. For an act who haven't been remixed many times, Noisia are definitely making up for lost time.

Review: While Suara is one of the most prolific techno labels out there, its owner, Coyu has taken a back seat recently with his own productions. This is changing with the release of his debut album, You Don't Know, which also coincides with him broadening out his sound. Tracks like "Out of the Pain" and the melancholic "1&1", featuring Thomas Gandey, sees him explore mournful, down tempo sounds, while on "Insania", the Suara boss veers into abstract mode, with rattling percussion. While there is no shortage of dance floor material - most notably the throbbing, acid-soaked "Volare" - the most impressive material tends towards the downtempo melodic vein, audible on his excellent broken beat collaboration with Moby, "'I May Be Dead, But One Day The World Will Be Beautiful Again".

Review: Rewind: It's 2008, D&B is enjoying one of its many golden era (the rise of Sigma, Brookes Brothers, Chase & Status and many more modern day heavy hitters) and Dutch don Seba consolidates a decade of 12" scuds with his debut album. A heady jungle homage with traces of jazz and deep tech, it was one of the year's most critical D&B documents. Now fully remastered, it's just as impeccable and densely textured now as it was seven years ago: from the blissful brush strokes of "Silicone" to the snarling Headz-hurting "Special Ops" by way of the Bukemesque majesty that is "Forever", this remastered re-release is perfectly timed for D&B's current era... Which may well be noted as golden in years to come.
