Since debuting in 2020, London party promoters turned producers The Trip have released a quintet of excellent EPs. While they plot their next move, the pair has decided to get some of their existing cuts remixed. Perhaps the most notable revision comes from Adam Collins, co-founder of mid '90s psychedelic breakbeat outfit Omni AM. He puts his stamp on 'For The Record', re-imagining it as a warm and tactile blend of loose-limbed dub-house beats, deep bass, jazzy synth stabs and saucer-eyed pads. Liquid Earth, whose output owes a little to Omni AM, turn 'Big Buzz' into a loved-up slab of tribal house headiness, Aldonna reaches for rubbery bass, psychedelic effects and barnstorming beats on a memorable tweak of 'Don't Panic', and Spray does a passable Salt Tank impression on a '90s progressive house-meets-trance tweak of 'Fantazia'.
