To celebrate the passing of 25 years since the birth of Paper Recordings, the label is releasing a series of celebratory compilations. This first volume comes courtesy of Crazy P and mostly focuses on the formative years of the label in the '90s and early 2000s. There's naturally much to set the pulse racing, from the chunky deep house brilliance of Paper Music Issue #1's "Downtime", and the dub disco-goes-deep house headiness of Dirty Jesus's "Don't F*ck With My Shit", to the jazz-funk fired peak-time house of Harlem Zip Code's "I Feel Music" and the Scandolearic dirty disco-funk of Those Norwegians' "Da King Da Mazda". As you'd expect, the set also contains a smattering of Crazy P classics, including early hit "Get It On".
