Among the dozens of aliases used by Germany's Martin Gretschmann, Acid Pauli has been among our favourites and, as it seems, his most successful project so far. The BLD LP dropped late last year on his own Ouie imprint, and it's now time for some class remix action from the best-in-class of tech-house. Up first, the prodigious Stimming breaks "Amadou" down into a bleepy, minimalistic knocker for the more left-fielded ear, which shifts beautifully into something much more tribal from Roman Flugel, on his remix of "Rene". Axel Boman's version of "Jeanne" opts for a more euphoric approach thanks to its uplifting pads and harmonies, while Satori's "Jorge" reinterpretation provides a progressive touch, and Nico Stojan's take on "Verbos" unleashes a much-needed slew of heavy-bottomed bass.
