Albert Van Abbe originally rose to prominence thanks to releases on his No Comment label. When that closed, he set up a new imprint, Vanabbe, but changed his musical focus, from electro and abstract sounds to a more direct dance floor style. This approach is also audible on his release for Trolldans, the third record on the fledgling label. The first two "Ostinato" tracks are melodic, acidic grooves; built on minimal, percussive rhythms, they bleep and warble their way over lithe rhythms and hissing hats. Despite this, it is clear that Van Abbe has not forgotten his experimental roots and the third and fourth tracks explore darker, abstract worlds.
What is Album Only?
Some artists and labels prefer certain tracks to be purchased as part of an entire release. These tracks cannot be purchased individually but are available to download as part of the release
