Review
It's fair to say that Whiskey Disco rarely fails to disappoint. Sleazy McQueen's long-serving label is undoubtedly one of the most consistent re-edit imprints around, making each successive release a "must-check". Naturally, there's plenty of club-ready goodness to be found on the label's latest missive, from the vibraphone-sporting, reverb-laden disco bounce of Alkalino's "Body & Soul" edit, to the beefed-up, Afro-disco-with-house-beats heaviness of Alex Juiev's "Afro Magic". In between, Love Drop pitch up and straighten out a Grace Jones favourite, while Terrence Pearce brilliantly plays around with a spacey disco classic on "Ushukela". In other words, it's another tight collection of cut-jobs from Whiskey Disco.Get new release alerts
