Spanish producers Angel Funke and Alex Brinken are experienced heads in the disco-house game. Here they join forces with an EP for party-starters Chopshop. Lead cut "What's The Colour" sets the tone, building a sparkling deep house/disco hybrid following a superb, cowbell and bongo-laden intro. It's based around a groove that recalls the late '90s productions of disco-house specialists Peppermint Jam. Funke's "Zombie" adds a little Afrobeat shuffle to the formula, building into a percussive frenzy via relentless organs and electric piano keys.
