Review
This Hamburg label has always done things a little bit differently, and it's no exception on Hoppla. Arsy delivers the title track; heavy claps and chopped-up beats provide the focus, with a menacing bassline working its way through the drum-heavy arrangement. If that wasn't enough, then there's Rubinskee's "Talk" to contend with. Once again, the emphasis is on an off-centre groove and a shaking rhythm, with sensuous vocal samples merged with jazzy keys that conjure up images of balmy nights and the tequila-soaked taste of salt on the lips.
