Deep house veteran Martin 'Atjazz' Iveson has enjoyed something of a revival in recent times. While his productions have always been reliably deep and quietly soulful, they did sometimes suffer from a lack of real dancefloor focus. That's not an accusation that can be leveled at "For Real", originally released by Innervisions in 2006 and here given the remix treatment. Iveson himself offers lovingly crafted vocal and instrumental versions, both of which offset slinky dancefloor deepness with rolling, bruk-influenced house grooves. Comfort Fit's remix hovers somewhere between late night deep house and off-kilter wonk-step, while Si Tew lays down a brilliantly melodic mix that fuses future hip-hop savvy and positivity.
