Midnight Riot Records is not wrong when they describe this single from previously unheralded act The Wanda as "dancefloor dynamite". While the combo's original version is not present, all three remixes make much of the fine duet vocals from stone cold legend Chaka Khan and honey-voiced reggae singer Beres Hammond. Qwestlife kicks things off with a rolling, superbly soulful electrofunk interpretation, before Dr Packer re-casts it as a cheery chunk of disco/boogie fusion full or positive synth riffs and Chic style guitars. Those looking for more up-tempo peak-time thrills should check out Danny Kane's version, which expertly joins the dots between proto-house, nu-disco and soulful house.Get new release alerts
