We've had to wait a few months, but finally BDK's Say Namm label debut has finally come to digital download. The four-track collection of tooled-up edits received rave reviews on its vinyl release and listening back to the tracks now it's easy to see why. Opener 'Pattie' is a fiendishly weighty, beefed-up disco-house revision of a classically string-drenched vintage disco gem, while 'Blow Your Mind' takes a similarly beefy, energetic and breathless approach to tweaking a swirling disco-funk number for contemporary house dancefloors. Arguably even better is 'Love Vibration', a loose-limbed and insatiably funky house-style take on a disco classic of the same name, though horn-toting, breakdown-heavy slammer 'It's The Right Time' pushes it close. Muscular disco-house edits for those who like it hot and heavy.
