Portland's Kevin Palmer launched his own label, Working Nights, in 2014 after a series of releases for the likes of London's Astro:Dynamics, Seattle's Further Records and of course New York City's Styles Upon Styles: who present his third release on the imprint with this full length. Palmer has previously alluded to doing much of his production work in the small hours when his family are asleep and once again there is an undeniable twilight aesthetic on the Exposure Therapy LP. The deep and dubbed out heroin house of "Session 4190" whirls through the dense tape hiss. The crunchy and booming Illbient vibe of "Session 11673" declares the sound is ripe for a comeback, while the crackling and distorted bass experiment that is "Session 111101" will hypnotise you via its textural abrasions. A tremendous effort.
