Review
Seeing the names Big Dope P and Moveltraxx in the same sentence is always going to be an exciting way to start the week, as we see the two entities combine for a sizzling thirteen track album, taking the title 'Mehlish'. This is a fantastic showcasing of just how creative people can get within the boundaries of the Juke / Footwork sound, from the rave-ready 4x4 thumps of 'Ride It' with TT The Artist & Feadz, to the more mechanical percussive displays of 'Ugly' with Mighty Mark and the epic 80's synth slides of 'Diaphane'. It's difficult to actually highlight a standout set, with the overall quality of this project being so high. One standout however has to be one of the bonus tracks entitled 'Presidential Pimping', which we can see working extremely well as a D&B double drop, utilizing regal sounding horn stabs and hard hitting drums to tremendous effect.Get new release alerts
