Review
Miles Sagnia's Atmospheric Existence label is a source of constant frustration for those who believe that quality deep house music is hard to find. The label's releases are never less than excellent, yet they're extremely infrequent - once or twice a year, if that. This second volume of the occasional Refined Textures series is another superb release. Throughout, there's a hint of classic Detroit futurism mixed with the emotion-rich compositional skills of Larry Heard. Both influences are strong on Bittersuite's spacious and evocative "Rituals", while Life Recorder's "Better With You" is even more intergalactic in its far-sighted approach. Sagnia and Paramthea's contributions are more obviously dancefloor-focused, but both are dripping with futurist charm.Get new release alerts
