Review

As the Lowtec-affiliated Out To Lunch label continues its very welcome return to activity, so the mystery continues. Last up was the anonymous intrigue of The Hangout Project, and now Black Point emerges as a hitherto unknown proposition. Whatever the case, the music sits comfortably in that warm and curious bosom of Workshop-friendly vibes, from the deep plumbing techno of "Mythic" to the end-of-the-world stalker "Black Point". "Vespers" moves with an ethereal beauty in its haunting synth tones, and "Give Up" drops all kinds of scatty rhythmic configurations for your cerebral pleasure. Who cares who it is? This is damn fine electronic music from the odd cracks in the dancefloor.
