Minimal house never went away thanks to Archipel. Indeed, the latest release on Pheek's label from BMIND - who previously put out an album for Archipel - refers to many of the re-occurring tropes in the sound that have endured since the turn of the millennium. This is especially audible on the micro-sampling groove of "Carne Carnaval" and the glitchy off beat percussion on the title track and "San Pedro Illumina". However, BMIND's release also shows that the sound has evolved; this is most evident on the traditional whistles and freestyle piano lines of "Fada" - a chaotic and unusual take on the sound.
