Review
Following a contribution to last year's Locus Error compilation, Carlota delivers a full EP on Nina Kraviz' label. The Bow varies wildly in style: "(0(00N" is a lo-fi, teased out jazz soundscape and "Perceptual Models" is a swirling ambient composition. At the other end of the spectrum, "Isla De Los Recuerdos" sees the emerging producer drop a snappy techno stepper that resounds to mysterious synths. "Cool In The Pool" is a more menacing affair, with Carlota deftly juxtaposing brooding bass with chiming bells, while on "Entropy to Syntropy", a high-paced, rumbling percussive rhythm is shot through with lo-fi hooks.Get new release alerts
