Review

"12 Ways" might have been a more appropriate name for this collection. Over the course of this collection, Chistic veers wildly in sound. From the pulsing bass and dramatic strings of the opener "Magical Waterfall", through the churning bass of "Catch The Invisible Being", "Days" makes Chistic sound like a house music obsessive. The landscape changes radically soon afterwards however; "Heavenly Rider" is all crashing drums and tinkling, melodic keys, while the infectious synth line on "The Portrait Of A Feeling" recalls vintage Italo bass and "Who Dig Out Potatoes" sees Chistic fuse a plunging Chicago bass with the disorientating rush of jarring rave riffs. It's not for the faint hearted, but if you're in search of unpredictability, 12 Days is for you.
