And this week's prize for Most Accurately Titled EP goes to... 'Rave Baby', in which German house veteran Cinthie serves up three tracks that are just dripping in sheer, unabashed nostalgia. 'Rave Baby' itself takes us back to those heady, halycon days of 91/92 with its Prodigy/Altern-8-ish synths, 'I Warned You Baby' recalls the sparse but soulful house coming out of New York around the same time, while 'What's Poppin' brings hints of the Guerrilla-style prog that started to emerge a year or so later. It'll be interesting to see how this EP goes down with younger crowds... could a rave revival be on the cards?!Get new release alerts
