For the ninth instalment on 012, Claudio PRC welcomes Andrea Cossu to the fold. Like previous releases on the label, the focus is on the deep, dubby end of the techno spectrum. The title track exudes a mysterious sensibility, as tranced out melodies unfold over a chugging groove. "Hydrozoa" is more dance floor focused. Powered by a linear, metallic rhythm it sees the duo factor in swooshing filters to achieve the requisite dance floor impact. "Biofluorescence" has echoes of Basic Channel, thanks to its scuffled rhythm and ominous dub chords - but the subtle use of melodies means that pair's musical identity remains writ large.Get new release alerts
