It was only a matter of time before the fabled New York club The Bunker set up a spin off label - indeed it's surprising that it didn't happen sooner. For this second release, the label has recruited newcomer Clay Wilson. "E4" is a ponderous affair, as teased out and labyrinthine as spending eight hours in the Bunker itself. Its languid groove moves from understated drones into darker, more introspective textures without missing a beat. "Socorro" is radically different both in tone and purpose: its reduced beats and breathy pads sounds like the kind of track Perlon's Zip would drop in an early morning set. Before long though, the mood swings back to the grimy and subterranean, as "Oizumi" is powered by all-encompassing drones.Get new release alerts
