Review

Leeds' Submotion Orchestra is much more than a seven-man production outfit, the band is a collective of musicians who are just simply into electronic music. The diversity of their releases is both impressive and utterly shimmering with beauty, and from stripped-down, soulful post-dubstep to chilled-out house music, they deliver all sorts of perfection. This latest album, Colour Theory, is much more than just electronic beats and far-out sonics, and goes further beyond to tackle aspects of pop, downtempo and nu-soul. If you're on that James Blake tip, then this will surely sooth your senses and wet your palate. In fact, there's even plenty of goodness in here for the house lovers - both to listen to, and for a little dance.
