Coming up through the ranks of Get Physical back in the day to establishing the legendary Crosstown Rebels label, Damian Lazurus unveils the full extent of this year's Mountain single with his first solo album in over a decade, Flourish. With some sweet, deep in the night peaktime grooves and club tracks to be found in "Everybody" there's a whole bevy of sounds and styles to be discovered here. For your beat down, balearic and acoustic-tipped ambient tracks look to "Beth" and "Bas" while darker, more experimental and rave influenced affairs dominate the arrangements in "Form & Void". Lazurus' UK influences can be found throughout the broken beat grooves in "Wild is Love" to the jungle and drum and bass sections in "Leave", or the wub wub bass and '90s pop vocals heard in "Mountain".
