Review

Norfolk's Cosmic Pint Glass label has barely put a foot wrong since launching back in 2015. Their latest release, an EP from occasional Young Adults contributor and Cosmic Kids member Daniel T, is predictably impressive, too. "Fahrenheit" sets the tone, with rich, Dam Funk style synthesizer chords and Freestyle-esque manipulated vocal samples clustering aroud a dirty analogue bassline and loose drum machine groove. The producer wanders further towards outer-space Italo-disco territory on "Celsius", which feels like a darker, druggy riff on the same blueprint. Phillip Lauer expertly re-interprets the latter track as a jaunty chunk of Balearic nu-disco, before Swiss trio Jack Pattern turn "Fahrenheit" into a dubby, ultra-cosmic epic.
