A commendable three-track EP from Dark Ages here on the Frite Nite label which focuses on a more stripped back sound with a dose of cheekiness added in for good measure. "Anansie's Revenge" kicks off with a series of clicking beats, hollow, echoing sounds and sci-fi sounding synths and develops into a low-slung number with murmuring bass below. "Ark Storm", up next, blends dramatic, sweeping synths with clinking melodies and bass squelches, while "Wrong Ghetto" brings the "First Born" EP to an end with simmering sub bass, quirky synth squeals and an ominous overtone from the off.
