Review
Maniac is Deas' fifth appearance on CLR in as many years. Once again, it showcases his ability to deliver killer club techno. The title track is based on concrete weight kicks and razor-sharp percussion, which provide the basis for Deas to layer in a chord sequence that builds and drops throughout the arrangement. "Bunker" is more intense. On this occasion, the Polish producer deploys tribal drums and a barrelling peak time rhythm. But it's the synth stabs that really set the track apart.
