We're not sure who Devan Alexander Gray is but he clearly knows his roots as he takes us on trip back 25 years with a tight, rolling package of sounds that pay homage to the formative work of guys such as DJ SS, Kenny Ken, Blackmarket and a very young Shy FX. The sense-slicing spliced drum magic of "Killasound", the sunshine skanks of "Ragstep", the disco stabs and depth plunge bass of "Showup" and the raw, heads-down roughage of "Takeover" are some of the many highlights on offer here.
