Few labels do blissed out minimalism as well as Germany's Traum and Die Rose is a prime example of its approach. On "An Einem Traurigen Morgen", rolling, stripped back rhythms provide the basis for a ghostly melody sequence that gently arcs upwards. It's no coincidence that the title translates as 'on a sad morning', as the track positively radiates melancholy. There's a similar feeling on "Im Herzens Garten Erstarb Die Rose". There, clicky minimal beats support an enveloping cloud of trance riffs that gets more and more intense as the track progresses. Microtrauma and Mononoid provide the remixes of "Morgen" and "Rose", with the latter impressing most thanks to its gnarly, jacking interpretation.
