New Zealand's Alias is hip-hop to the very bone. In a previous chapter of his career he was part of the Fast Crew, supporting the likes of D12 and Busta Rhymes whenever they toured in New Zealand or Australia. And while he's shifted focus to a more explicit, nu-funk / bass sound, it still beats with a hip-hop riddim. Each of the four cuts on here ride with a raw, low-swung swagger.
