Have you got your shiny My Byrite suit on, and is there plenty of wet look gel keeping your high-top fade looking sharp? Good, because we're in full-on 80s soul and boogie mode for this late re-edits EP from DJ Laurel, who's perhaps best known for this many contributions to the 'Katakana Edits' series. Sadly we can identify only one of the three source tracks - namely The McCrarys' 'Love On A Summer Night', a classic slice of jazz-funk from 1982. Elsewhere, though, 'Love Games' itself has a nice fat b-line and harmonised vox, while 'Back To You' is more of a syrupy, loungey ballad in a Barry White-ish vein.Get new release alerts
