Francesco Zaniboni AKA DJ Rou is a familiar face to those in Bologna, having worked behind the counter of the city's L'Archivio record store for longer than anyone can remember. This isn't his debut single - Zaniboni's cuts have previously appeared on Cognitiva, Red Roster and Daphian - but it's arguably his most high profile to date. It's also rather good. Check, for example, the undulating, bass-heavy Latin disco/dusty deep house fusion of opener "Vento", the spacey, bongo-fired deep house-meets-jazz-funk flex of "4Phenia" and the deliciously deep, sample-heavy earning morning shuffle of killer closing cut "Not The Same".
