Paris-based DJ Steaw may not exactly be a household name but he's no newbie, having made his debut on criminally overlooked French label Qalomoto Records back in the late 00s. And that experience shows, on an EP that starts off well and then gets better as it goes along! The title track blends acid house with just a hint of Balearica, while 'Dance To The Rhythm' is a garage-tinged deep house shuffler. But things really pick up for this reviewer once we get to the sheer retro New Jersey organ vibes of 'I Can't Feel It' and the headfried small-hours workout that is 'Star Steady', for which my notes read simply "Immense".
