Argentina power duo DJs Pareja up the ante with this new thriller for the ever reliable Honey Soundsystem, first showing up on label co-head Jackie House's radar a couple of years ago after he remixed their track "Club De La Locura" on Comeme. They repay the favour with four sturdy stompers on The After EP: from the tripped-out percolator jack of "I Think I Love You" calling to mind Green Velvet's work in the late '90s, to the punchy peak time Detroit vibe of "Mistic", then venturing down into the vortex on the tunnelling and hypnotic techno of "Filtro" and ending with the kickin' NYC house banger that is the title track - calling to mind classic Armand Van Helden.Get new release alerts
