Joris Voorn may be a big name, but as Ask demonstrates, he hasn't forgotten his underground roots. Issued on the Dutchman's Wolfskuil label, the title track is a big room, chord-heavy techno track, the musical elements anchored by tough claps, tingling percussion and a dark, buzzing bass. NX1's version is heavier and harder, with an abrasive, jacking rhythm underscoring Doka's dramatic chord builds. However, the best version comes from Aiken. Featuring the same kind of acid bass that was the centerpiece of F.U.S.E's classic "Substance Abuse". Aiken lets this element simmer beneath the surface and adds dagger-like riffs that jut through at every bar.
