Trailblazing a pathway into new fields of experimental jazz, Afro-futurism and dub to broken beats, rhythmic noise and exotic, leftfield techno, the Miles Davis referencing label (On The Corner) celebrates its tenth various artist compilation with Door To The Cosmos. As the label explains, its sound references the source; be it Detroit, UK bass culture, New Orleans or the Niger delta. Inspired furthermore by Sun Ra's infamous chant 'dare to knock at the door to the cosmos' you'll find the likes of Afrikan Sciences remixing the Collocutor ensemble to some super dubby UKG house tracks from Uffe. Jose Marquez throws down his funky strides in the rhode-laden "La Negra Lorenza" with JD Twitch slowing down the space time continuum in his warped ragtime experimental number "Agyapong". Find your percussive future techno in Babani Soundsystem's glitched "Touni Minwi" to some psychoacoustic dub outta Khalab with his track "Sorry".
