Way back in 1992, Kerri Chandler produced a killer cut for Dreamer G, the chosen alias of super-soulful vocalist James Gordon. 'I Got That Feelin' has been considered a classic ever since and has been reworked countless times in the past. Here it gets a fresh set of interpretations, with Chandler's own deep, chunky, spacey and bass-heavy 'Dub Re-Edit' being joined by a quartet of edits by Demuir (AKA Toronto deep house don Kevin Pierre). He first delivers full vocal and dub mixes of his 'Playboi' pass, where warming bass guitar, flash-fried synth-funk electronics and melodic flourishes ride a bustling house beat. He leans further into this looseness on his 'Acoustic Mix' and 'Acoustic Dub', where swinging disco drums and bass provide a killer retro-futurist platform for Gordon's impassioned vocals.Get new release alerts
