Known for his releases on Bosconi and Numbers, Dukwa now brings his inimitable sound to Peggy Gou's Gudu. "Prune" is a driving affair, with Dukwa dropping electronic riffs and mournful piano keys over a driving groove. "Vox" continues in this vein, with Dukwa putting a focus on ghostly breakdowns, dropped in between a grinding, heads-down rhythm. On "Jepoardize", a similar sound prevails but with the key difference that it unravels over a leftfield rhythm and abstract percussive ticks. "Nuvola" is an outlier here; dusty analogue synths play out over skipping beats, making for a deeper, more esoteric take on Dukwa's sound.
