Mutant electronica from the darkest depths of Somerset. Eat Static have been making their brand of otherworldly sci-fi electronic music for 28 years and have been considered as seminal by many respected electronic music producers today. They are one of the UK's only real live dance acts and still headline major events all over the world. 2017 see's Merv Pepler, the only surviving member, still staying true to his roots and continuing to release music. For the new album entitled 'Last Ship To Paradise' he actually teams up with former/original member Steve Everitt, on an effort that was said to be entirely created using modular synthesizers. They sought to get past the limitations and even endless possibilities of modern technology - namely VSTs. It was a labour of love, for as Merv said "there's no sound until you patch it up...". The album is released via Canadian electronica imprint Interchill - legends of the Montreal ambient scene since the late '90s: and who released Pepler's 2008 full length 'Back To Earth'
