Parisian crew Les Yeux Orange has been doing its thing for some time, though they've never attempted anything quite as ambitious as 'EDF (Electronique De France)', an epic, 'non-exhaustive' survey of the contemporary 'local scene' featuring cuts from friends, newcomers and long-established underground scene stalwarts. It's a deliciously diverse and consistently on-point selection all told, with the label's in-house curators choosing to giddily skip between 150 BPM brain-dance (Alder), dreamy acid breaks (Azo), exotic hip-hop tempo headiness (Flegon), slow-mo acid/bleep fusion (Jacques Satre), the deepest of slow house jams (Jilo & Touba), EBM-influenced industrial dancefloor darkness (Kalyug Citizen), sun-splashed garage-house joy (LeonxLeon), proto-house warmth (Margot Et Max) and much more besides.
