Review

Normally with In:flux we are given release after release of original dubstep heat from their now extensive catalogue of talented producers. Today however, the bosses are back in business as Tik&Borrow make their return across two powerful originals and a couple of spicy remix additions. First up, 'Erebus' provides us with a hellish landscape of alarm-like LFO pulses and gritty reesey tones, layered over super-punchy drum crunches. Following this, more lethal synthesis is unleashed as 'Terror' runs riot, amid a constantly shifting soundscape of crunchy drum slaps and dubwise delays. Both the remixes add their own seasoning to the full meal, with the break-heavy rethink of 'Erebus' from Quirk giving us an impactful addition, alongside the high energy outputs we hear throughout Dystinkt's carnival ready re-roll of 'Terror'. Awesome work!
