Florido's relationship with Plus 8 owner Richie Hawtin stretches back to 2014, when he released on the feted techno producer's Minus imprint. However, Multiverse is an entirely different proposition; the title track sets the tone for the release with a pulsating, brooding bass and epic synth lines building up to a tranced out climax. Similarly on "The Long Fall", the Italian producer deploys a hypnotic, throbbing bass to devastating effect, as it provides an undercurrent for dreamy hooks and guitar chords. "Omniverse" sees a change in tact, as Florido adds deft filters to his bass-centric approach to techno.
