The latest protegees to surface from the bunker of Fabric's Farringdon address, Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, aka Maribou State, follow up their debut 2018 album Kingdom Of Colour (subsequently remixed by Mount Liberation, Maceo Plex and Juju & Jordash among many others), with a massive Fabric Presents mix. It follows contributions last year from Bonobo, The Martinez Brothers and Amelie Lens, with Maribou State introducing their style, selection and taste with choice cuts tipped with art-pop, dub, jazz and percussion. Take in the deep house, strings and vocals sections of Long Island Sound's "I Still Love You" and find Nu Guinea there too with the liquid disco of "Je Vulesse". Recommended also is the epic basslines and squelches of Shire Tea's "Hackney Birdwatch (Fabric edit)" and Maribou State's own remix to Radiohead classic "Reckoner."
